Hardaway’s shot cut Oklahoma City’s lead to one point. After a Jalen Williams basket and a non-shooting foul, Hardaway tossed a pass into no man’s land, and the Thunder turned it into a steal and a layup.

Hardaway made the worst pass you’ll ever see at the worst possible time. He was on the court in crunch time to give Dallas extra shooting, especially with Kyrie Irving in foul trouble and Josh Green ineffective.
While he made a mistake on offense, he almost couldn’t have played better defense on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander than he did on one late possession, but SGA still connected on a very high shot.

While he had a chance at redemption with three seconds to go, Hardaway’s three-point attempt was waved off because SGA committed a foul on the pass first. It’s just as well. His shot missed.
